"The 7 wonders of the modern world" by Adrián


Hi mates!
These are the 7 Wonders of the Modern World.
1. Chichén Itzá: It's a Mayan pyramid in the centre of the state of Yutacán, in México, South America. It's about 1500 years old.
2. Great Wall of China: It's a big wall of 8.851 km. The Chinese made that in the V century  b.C. 
3. Petra: Are the ruins of the ancient city of Petra, in Jordan.
4. Taj Mahal: It is an Indian mausoleum, built by  Maughal emperor Shah Jahan in memory of his third wife.  In 2003 it has got 3 million visitors.
5. Machu Picchu: Is's an old town in Peru, built by the Incas. That city was home of about 1.200 residents.  Today it's a tourist attraction.
6. Roman Coliseum: It's in Rome, Italy, built by orders of the Vespasiano emperor. The visitors go to this wonder everyday!
7. Christ the Redeemer Statue: It's in Rio, Brazil. It weighs 700 tones. To go to the statue you have to climb more than 200 steps.
